HEALING PROPERTIES OF WOOD ANEMONE



DESCRIPTION

It is creeping root-stocks, moving not so deep below the surface, long, tough growing quickly around the vacant space. It rapidly spread fast into large population of the plants in only short period of time. They are best suited to grow fast in moist soil of woods and thickets.

The deeply cut leaves rose upright directly from the separate un-branch stem. With it is the star-like flowers go together. Below the flower positioned the three leaflets deeply separated appearing more than three of them like a true leaves. The leaves protect the flower buds by wrapping it around before the buds unfolds.

Once the bud opens, it stalks together going far above them. The flower has no honey for the bees to visit. It has little scent to attract insects. Only few insects visit the flowers for purpose of fertilization of its one-celled seed vessels. The seed vessels were arranged in mass formation in the center of the many stamens (acheness).

HERBAL APPLICATION

It was used externally with its rubifacient effects to some of the diseases of men. The various parts of the plants (seeds, flowers, leaves, bark, etc.) have the same effect if applied for the treatment of headache.

It is best for the treatment of rheumatic gout. It has better purpose to serve as a bath for the body with the disease of leprosy by using the decoction of leaves. HEALING PROPERTIES OF ALMOND



DESCRIPTION
 
The seed coat consisted of leathery separable structure that IS hard and juiceless. It has a dual red color with dingy green tinged. As soon as the seeds are fully ripen, its green covering will dry and then split. The endocarp (rough shell) that enclosed them dropped out.

The shell has ovoid shape, with yellow buff color flattened in form. The outer surface of the shell has small holes. It has fibrous materials that sometimes thin and friable. The seeds showed rounded at one end and pointed at the other end covered with the corresponding coat.

The size of the tree is moderate more or less 30 feet high. It has branches that spread out evenly. The leaves are lance-shaped, serrated in its edges. The plants has characteristic to flower first before the emergence of leaves.

HERBAL APPLICATION

It considered demulcent. It has beneficial nutrients mostly required for healthy body. It is good remedy for constipation softening and relaxing the solids in the stomach. Good for bronchial disease in the lungs.

It was used for the relief of tickling cough, suppresses irritation and prevent hoarseness of voice due to inflammation caused by colds and flu. The prepared emulsion found to have the ability to soften and remove stones in the kidney, bladder and obstruction in the biliary ducts.

Use to relieve heartburn due to excessive production of acid. It reduces the impact of acid because of Gastro-Esophageal Reflux (GERD). The oil from the seeds is good remedy for chapped hands. It considered as pain reliever in all manner of painful sensation in the lung.
Good for the treatment of pleurisy.

 Excessive production of gas will result to colic. With the use of the plant, colic is prevented and gas formation is reduced. The use of oil makes hands and face smooth and soft. The oil cleanses spots and pimples of the skin. The oil can relieve chest pain due to heart trouble.

Putting in the temple will relax headache. Ointment preparation can restore clearness of sight. Almond butter has benefit to the heart, it relaxes the brain and liver complaints. The prussic acid of bitter almond found to cure intermittent fever. It serves as vermifuge. Bitter almond was used as aperient, diuretic and cure for hydrophobia.

HEALING PROPERTIES OF PARSLEY

It was cultivated 2,000 years had passed as folk medicine. It belongs to the family of Umbelliferae. It can easily adapt to any climate if raised throughout the year. It is a biennial plants (seeds) originated from Southern Europe. It has more than 25 varieties. The most popular varieties are flat-leaf parsley and curly-leaf parsley. Parsley is good for nutrition as garnish added in a menu (soups, vegetables, meat and other selected dishes). What they did is to wash thoroughly, chop it and sprinkle to favorite dishes.

Properties: myristicin, limanene, eugenol, alpha-thujene, flavonoids like apiin, apigenin, crisoeriol, luteolin.

It contains Vitamin C, iron, vitamin K, and A. Its volatile oils neutralizes carcinogen in the body and other harmful substances. It inhibits and prevent the formation of any tumor. Good for the prevention of lung disease. Its folic acid prevents the occurrence of colon and cervical cancer. It is good for the health of the heart. It converts dangerous homocysteine into a harmless molecules and protect strokes as well as heart attack.
